Dr Pelumi Olawale

BSc. MSc. DProf.

Hi, I’m Pelumi and I am the founder of Ronu, a dedicated psychological therapy & wellbeing practice based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. I have always been interested in how thoughts can influence our feelings and actions and I am keen to inspire positive change in people and in particular, those who may have felt disadvantaged in life.

I have a particular interest in men’s mental health and I am keen to work with men who present with depression, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD), trauma, emotional abuse & eating disorders. I strongly believe in creating a safe space for men to confidently express their emotions. I therefore aim to build genuine therapeutic relationships with my clients in order to help them explore their thoughts and feelings within a safe and non-judgmental environment.

I have a wide range of experience working with a diverse group of people in the community and NHS Mental Health Services. I am a graduate of Nottingham Trent University with a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Psychological Wellbeing and Mental health and a professional doctorate in Counselling Psychology from London Metropolitan University. I am also a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Depending on your needs, I can provide you with individual therapy or group therapy to help you explore your concerns and come up with effective solutions to address your difficulties.

CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19)

In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, I have changed the way I provide my services in order to minimize the risk to my clients. Therefore, I have moved to providing my group programmes & individual services via online video call instead of face to face contact.

What you will need:

- A computer or mobile with an internet connection.
- A confidential and private place to attend the sessions.

Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time, and I will endeavor to keep you updated with any further changes.
